设置

- 自愿加入,不能换边:每天自己决定是否加入;加入后由系统分配正方或反方,不能自己改。
Opt in, no switching: you decide each day whether to join; once in, the system assigns Pro or Con and you cannot switch. - 至少 30 个英文单词,提交前至少自己改一遍:标点、拼写、逻辑。
At least 30 English words, and revise at least once before submitting: punctuation, spelling, logic. - 称呼立场,不称呼人:用「正方」「反方」「我方」「对方」,不用「你」「你们」指同学。反驳观点,不贬低人。
Name sides, not people: say Pro, Con, our side, the other side, never “you” for a classmate. Attack ideas, not people. - 不重复:同学已经说过的论点,不要再说一遍;找一个新理由,或者反驳它。
No repeats: do not restate an argument a classmate already made; find a new reason or rebut it. - 不合适的内容要改:脏话、人身攻击必须改掉才能提交。
Fix inappropriate content: profanity or personal attacks must be revised before you can submit. - 不留个人信息:不写真实全名、学校全名、精确地址、电话、微信、QQ,不约见同学。
No personal details: no real full name, school name, exact address, phone, WeChat or QQ, no meeting plans. - 可以用中文帮忙:页面上有中文 AI 工具,可以查词、翻译、打草稿,但最后交上去的辩词要是英文。
Chinese help is allowed: the page has Chinese AI tools for looking up words, translating and drafting, but the argument you submit must be in English.
Fees and how to join are on the fee page.
English Debate is a written debate class: you write arguments and rebuttals in English. No speaking, no video.
There is one motion a day, and each day is one round. Motions come from daily life and school, some from recent world news. You choose whether to join the round; once you join, the system assigns you Pro or Con, and you write at least 30 English words before the day ends.
Before you submit, an AI assistant pre-reviews your English, your logic and your facts. It checks language and reasoning, not whether your side is “right”. Arguments are tallied by side for each round; afterwards the best ones are published under English Debate Records for everyone to review.
A middle-to-high-school vocabulary (about 1,500+ words) helps, enough to read the background. The point is critical thinking and English argument, not winning. You may think it through in Chinese first and then write it in English.
One round (the motion is only an example)
- Today’s motion: Students should be allowed to use phones at school. You tap Join and are assigned Con.
- You think in Chinese first (phones distract; at break everyone stares at a screen), then write: The Con side believes phones make it hard to focus in class. During breaks, students look at screens instead of talking to each other, so the school feels lonely.
- The AI assistant pre-reviews: clear English, 34 words; it suggests making feels lonely concrete with an example. It never says “Con is wrong”.
- You add a sentence and submit. A Pro classmate argued that phones help with research; your next post can rebut it: The Pro side says phones help with research, but the library computers can do the same job.
- When the day closes, arguments are tallied by side and the best ones go into English Debate Records.
